Lorenz Lo10UK39 Power-supply

This is the Dynamotor power supply. It operates on 220VDC. Its start up current is about 4Amps and while running about 1Amp. The cover is not the correct one its for a different Voltage rating someone must have sadly switched it a long time ago.

On the front a Voltage indicator Tube is visible and a 6Amp fuse.

On the side vents for cooling.

On the back side again a Luftwaffe power connector and the Luftwaffe type of connection to the Rahmen.

A small access window on the back lets you access the big Capacitors made by Bosch and Siemens still good after 80 Years. Very nicely molded aluminium.

On the inside the big motor and Transformer are the first things visible. They are very heavy. The motor has multiple fuses for every Voltage to protect it.

On the bottom a loot of connections to the Transformer are visible. It is the same on as on the AC power-supply version. Also a Relay is visible. It protects the RV12P2000 tubes from experiencing over Voltage. At the beginning when the RL12P35 tubes are still warming up they dont draw power. if this happens fill 500V are applied to the RV12 tube that are rated fro 230V. So to prevent this the Relay only opens, when the RL12P35 tube start drawing power only then it opens.

On top of the Motor the Voltage connections are placed and even marked with the polarity.

Both selenium rectifiers are visible. The AC version instead uses Rectifier Tubes. Also another protection relay and the Osram Eisenwasserstoffwiderstand is visible. it changes its resistance when heating up.

A very nice type plate on the motor with all needed information visible.
