Gema Sichtgerät

Here is the Sichtgerät for the Gema SH-Anlage. It would have been installed in the Gema Meßpult or the secondary viewing device. The S-Anlage was used on U-boats and other Vessels. This together with a mirror would be used to calculate the distance and direction an enemy vessel would have been.

The plate says to remove the Tube before removing the Power-supply. Also visible is the G/K MOB S 795 marking the S-Anlage was also called MOB S and the 795 is the production number. on the left side two adjustment ports are visible and on the right side the two fuses for the 220VAC.

Here the two tubes are visible. The cathode ray tube is a DG 9-4 Tube and the high Voltage rectifier is a Philips PH 1875 halve wave rectifier.

On the backside on the bottom the signal input is visible as well as the Powersocket.

On top are two fine adjustments for the Brightness and the sharpness of the dot.

On the bottom the two tube Sockets are visible as well as some beautiful cable management and again the shielded signal input.

A cover can be easily removed for maintenance. Two beautiful High Voltage capacitors are visible and in perfect working order. The big transformer can be seen in the back as well as some big Resistors all marked with an individual Number.

Another angle. You can see the connections for the big round Transformer.

Here again the big Transformer and Powersocket. It was made by ERKA.

Here is the complete Gema Meßpult. It is very big and weighs over 100KG. The Braunsches Rohr I have is also visible.

Here is the complete Anlage. It would have been very big and would have weight a few 100kgs.
