The H2l/7 was Philips answer to the Telefunken E381. They are very similar in design and function. The H2l/7 could be used without power by use of a crystal diode for emergency reception
To set the Frequency you needed the Frequency table since the dial itself does not have a frequency written on it. On the left is the antenna tuner next to it the frequency control. The Middle knob is for the different Bands next to it the Tone and then the feedback control.
This is the very rare Power cable. It is the only one I have ever seen. The connector is basically a tube socket but for a different purpose.
Here is the control for the antenna fine adjustment. also the antenna connector and in the middle the headphone connector for emergency reception.
With the cover removed the big beautiful Frequency band drum can be seen. It rotates to select the different ranges.
Here is the connector for the crystal diode. In case of emergency top cover of the radio would be removed and the crystal would be plugged in here.
Most of the original capacitors are still good and working. Some were previously removed and changed sadly.
